Brewing is one of the most ancient practices in human history. It predates even pottery, which was invented around 6,000 years ago. Archaeologists have found evidence of brewing in Babylonian clay tablets dating back to 5,500 B.C., and Egyptian hieroglyphics detailing the production of beer date back to 3,200 B.C. The Chinese also brewed alcoholic beverages as far back as 7,000 years ago! Brewing has come a long way since then- today we can enjoy everything from craft brews to mass-produced beers with many different styles and flavors.

Brewing was one of the earliest human innovations that helped us develop into what we are today. Without fermentation, many people would not be alive or healthy because they could not consume milk and other dairy products due to lactose intolerance and other reasons. Fermentation allowed for more food sources to be available for everyone which led to less starvation and malnutrition throughout history!
